Qualified Carpenter [or Builder], is needed urgently to join our friendly team with a growing fire protection service provider. Guidance can be provided re rules of fire compliance, but you will need to bring your skillset and happy demeanour for customer service. We would be looking for someone who wants to learn all aspects of the business and be willing to cross train in other areas such as building inspections and other fire systems to become a Fire Technician all-rounder.

The job mainly involves installing Fire Doors, Fire Rated Frames, Solid Core Doors, door hardware and assorted door repairs as well as some Passive Fire (fire stopping) works. Must be proficient at installing deadlatches, mortice locks, door closers, smoke seals etc. Other works, such as building fire walls, installing access panels, fire dampers etc., are also part of this role.

Reliability and punctuality are paramount as most of our jobs are booked for strata unit residents who need to get to work by a certain time, therefore if they have booked for 7am, you must be on time otherwise we have unhappy clients who complain to management, which could be detrimental with winning more work from that management company.

Keen eye for detail, pride in your workmanship and ability to problem solve are prerequisites. Excellent working conditions in a flexible company who believes in life-work balance. We are open to offering full time, part-time or casual for the right applicant, therefore depending on what choice you make, wage will be negotiated accordingly.

Above average wage offered to the right person, plus Super, fully maintained Vehicle (for your use), E-Tag, Petrol Card, Mobile Phone, Work Uniform will be provided. This position is open to all ages, genders and backgrounds.
