Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Roto/Paint Artist to join our VFX company. As a Roto/Paint Artist, your primary responsibilities will involve creating accurate mattes, seamlessly integrating elements into live-action footage through digital painting techniques, and performing complex rotoscoping tasks. This is a challenging yet rewarding position that offers an opportunity to contribute to the creation of visually stunning and engaging content. Although the role will require both roto and paint as essential skills, responsibilities will be weighted more towards paint work.

**Responsibilities**:
Manage, check and approve roto tasks and work.

Perform high-quality rotoscoping tasks, including accurately creating and refining mattes and masks for various elements in live-action footage.

Seamlessly integrate digital elements, such as characters, objects, or backgrounds, into live-action footage through meticulous paint work.

Work closely with the Compositing team to ensure smooth and realistic integration of roto/paint elements into the final shots.

Troubleshoot and problem-solve technical issues related to roto/paint tasks.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and techniques related to roto/paint and contribute innovative ideas to improve the quality and efficiency of the work.

Meet project deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and quality.

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Roto/Paint Artist in a professional VFX or animation studio.

Proficient in industry-standard software such as Nuke, Silhouette, Mocha, or other relevant roto/paint tools.

Solid knowledge of compositing techniques and the ability to work closely with the Compositing team to achieve seamless results.

Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to find creative solutions to complex visual challenges.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment while meeting project deadlines.

Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively receive and provide constructive feedback.

A demo reel or portfolio showcasing previous roto/paint work is highly desirable.
