Microhire is the leading Australian Event Staging specialist, and our team? Well, we’re proud of what we do, and we love it

Microhire offers a diverse range of audio visual (AV) and digital technology services to our corporate clients. From provision of technical and creative design, product management and delivery of technical services, live and/or hybrid, we aim to ensure our clients and their audience are impressed with their event.

We are currently in the re-building phase with the event industry now reactivated and seeking a HR generalist to take the reigns and own ‘all things HR’ and support us through the next phase of our growth.
The next chapter of Microhire’s journey is to raise the standard and would require a leader who is hands on, capable of both strategic thinking and execute HR changes to management and operations workforce.

Your Role
- Providing input to Microhire’s strategic plan and supporting the delivery of its people initiatives to deliver on the strategic goals.
- Ensuring people-related policies, processes and practices are compliant with relevant legislation, statutory and regulatory requirements, and Microhire’s Code of Conduct, and are effectively communicated and implemented throughout the organisation.
- Supporting the recruitment, end to end.
- Have a good understanding of immigration and sponsoring process.
- Partnering with, advising, and supporting leaders on people-related matters across the full employee lifecycle (including recruitment, performance management and development), and gathering input/insights on business requirements.
- A confidential “go to” person, acting as a sounding board for people-related matters for leaders and employees and providing advice and support aligned to Microhire’s strategy, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborating with the Group GM and the senior leadership team to identify strategies that promote a positive culture that aligns with Microhire’s Values.
- Coaching, developing, and supporting Microhire’s leaders to strengthen the leadership capability within the organisation.
- Developing and sourcing talent to meet current and future needs.

Your skills and qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification in human resources or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in a related generalist HR role.
- Experience in an Audio Visual industry or similar would be highly regarded
- Strategic and forward-thinking, with high levels of initiative.
- Strong leadership skills, with a coaching and mentoring focus.
- Collaboration skills and highly developed influencing, relationship building and customer service skills.
- Trusted advisor who acts with integrity
- Thorough understanding of Industrial instruments, modern award and resourcefulness to navigate and problem solve day-to-day and high level issues.
- Clear, professional, and articulate communication and strong listening skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.

- Demonstrated ability to initiate, implement and support change.
- Strong alignment to, and advocate of organisational values.

**Salary**: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
