About the Role
The Team Leader is based in Sydney and is both a supervisory and hands-on position.

**The objective**:
Support the Employer Solutions Manager to lead the team and is responsible for carrying out strategic business development activities to engage and establish key employer accounts and vacancies to gain employment opportunities for job seekers for the regions that SSI Employment Services is operating in, with the overall goal of ensuring a consistent flow of employment opportunities for job seekers which will ideally lead to ongoing and sustainable employment for job seekers across SSI’s Employment Services contracts and the regions in which SSI operates in. Working collaboratively with teams across DES, ParentsNext, RESP and ACCESS. To ensure employment opportunities and vacancies are being communicated effectively to job seekers at site level, to ensure appropriate employers and industries are being targeted, vacancies are being filled successfully, and suitably work ready job seekers are being placed into employment opportunities. Building the confidence and ability of employers in target industries to hire, support and retain clients across cohorts.

**You will be required to**:

- Monitor activities and with the assistance of your Manager (Manager Employer Solutions) ensure that compliance, quality, and performance standards are met.
- Engage with employers, stakeholders in New South Wales to build relevant Employment opportunities
- Attend events to increase our profile.
- Monitor and/or source and refer customers to opportunities and vacancies ensuring an efficient, effective, and quality service is delivered.
- Support any new tenders and projects.
- Ensure team’s KPI’s are been met

Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Deliverables
- Liaise with the Employment Solutions team across NSW to ensure project goals are being met, to ensure vacancies are being communicated effectively to site level, to ensure suitably work ready job seekers are being referred to employment opportunities, and ensure placement and outcome targets are met.
- Working collaboratively with Employment Service Division including Program Managers and Business Managers to establish and carry out strategic plans appropriate to the project, regions, and job seekers
- Develop positive business relationships and repeat business to establish SSI as a “provider of choice “for employers.
- Identify employment opportunities for women within the target industries and work with the Employment Solutions Team to achieve project KPIs.
- Present to and educate stakeholders on how to become more inclusive of women in target industries
- Monitor and report on outcomes, trouble shoot to deliver a positive outcome
- Create and develop relationships with stakeholders resulting in relevant employment opportunities for clients
- Deliver reports in line with internal and external compliance structures and audit schedules.
- Other duties as directed from time to time within your skills range and capacity.

Essential Criteria
- Experience in employment services or community
- Excellent communication skills, ability to listen and understand both client and employers, stakeholders needs and requirements.
- Confident to speak to employers and stake holders by phone or face to face contact.
- Present to small jobs within organisations
- Able to manage your team’s day-to-day schedule
- Work as a team and individual to achieve KPI
- Target focus and drive to be successful for this role
- Skills that can build relationships with stakeholders and securing employment opportunities

Desired Criteria
- Qualifications in: Sales - Business - Marketing - Community Services - Employment Services
- Experience working in the Employment Services sector and an understanding of working with long term unemployed client.
- Sales and Management experience.
- Strong community engagement and networking
- Knowledge and or experience within the retail, hospitality, homecare industry
