Owned and Operated by Yancoal Australia, Mount Thorley Warkworth (MTW) is an open cut mine that provides the opportunity to live and work locally. Located 15 kilometres south-west of Singleton in the beautiful Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, MTW relies on both dragline and load haul systems for their continuous operations. The MTW Mine is the largest open cut operation in the region, employing approximately 1,450 people who reside in the local and surrounding communities.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to resolve issues effectively.
- A can-do attitude that fosters teamwork using problem solving skills that includes team member participation.
- Demonstrated skills in risk management, hazard identification and a strong commitment to safety performance.
- Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with other stakeholders in the business.
- Computer literacy - able to use MS Office suite programs such as Excel, Word and PDF.
- A can-do attitude and have a positive impact on culture.
- Results focused with the ability to have a positive impact on culture.
- Previous experience leading an open cut production team as a Mining Supervisor.
- Hold a current OCE Statutory ticket or the ability and commitment to gain this qualification.
