The responsibilities of the Work Health & Safety and Risk Officer will include:

- Support in the development and implementation of Policies.
- Collaborate with the Document Officer to formulate and implement Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and risk management policies and procedures that align with legislative requirements.
- Conduct routine reviews and updates of safety and risk policies to guarantee compliance with current legal standards and industry best practices.

**Desired Skills and Experience**:
**Essential**:

- Relevant WHS and Risk management certifications (minimum - Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety) and/or a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and ongoing learning, including actively maintaining a contemporary skillset.
- Strong knowledge of WHS and risk management legislation and regulations in Australia.
- EDRMS (Electronic Document Records Management System) experience
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
- Meticulous attention to detail and well-developed problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.

**Desirable**:

- Experience in Clinical Governance and various accreditation surveys such as NSMHS, RACGP, ASES, ASQA
- Understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and health programs.
- Experience working in other Not-for-Profit organisations.
