That is why we are significantly increasing the support provided to our MCH team through the recent establishment of a dedicated MCH department and increased employment conditions and benefits. We are working to ensure that Melton City Council is a place where MCH nurses can grow their careers, we are recruiting more nurses and we continue to advocate for a stronger MCH system in Victoria.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach to integrated planning of Maternal and Child Health services.
- Ensure that the Maternal and Child Health Service operates efficiently, consistent with relevant Government legislation, guidelines, and Funding and Service Agreements
- Deliver a high-performance team culture and as well as providing support, coaching and high-quality supervision.
- Deliver and contribute to Council goals as outlined in the Council Plans.

**About you**
To be successful in this role you will be able to satisfy the requirements to work as a Maternal and Child Health Nurse in Victoria and Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (division1) and Midwife.
And be able to address the following **Key selection Criteria**:
- Current Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and must hold qualifications in Maternal and Child Health.
- Substantial experience in strategic leadership with a strong emphasis on team engagement skills to drive a supportive and high-performance team culture.
- Thorough knowledge of all legislation and standards related to the Maternal and Child Health services.
- Experience in developing and implementing Maternal and Child Health policy and practice.
- Well-developed skills in strategic planning, business planning and budget management.
In addition you will require;
- Experience with use of CDIS IT program or a willingness to learn.
- Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
- Must hold or be able to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.
