The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is the first level of the Victorian court system and is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria. It has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 locations, equating to approximately 90 percent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. **About the role**
Are you a highly organised and proactive professional with a passion for supporting operational excellence and stakeholder engagement?
We are seeking a dynamic Divisional Coordinator to join the Court Operations Division at the Magistrates' Court of Victoria. This role plays a key part in supporting leadership teams, coordinating business-as-usual activities, and driving continuous improvement across the division.
The Divisional Coordinator will provide high-level administrative and corporate support, manage internal processes, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and outstanding service delivery across MCV sites.
Key Responsibilities
- ; Develop and manage administrative systems and processes to support divisional operations.
- ; Provide specialist support to leadership teams, including preparing documents, presentations, briefings, and speaking notes.
- ; Lead and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the division.
- ; Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- ; Coordinate business-as-usual activities including facilities inquiries, emergency management, and risk-related issues.
- ; Support accommodation, asset, and facilities management tasks across MCV sites.
- ; Draft and prepare confidential and complex documents including reports, submissions, and correspondence.
- ; Perform other duties as required, aligned with the role's classification and skill level.
**About you**
- ; Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential matters.
- ; High-quality drafting experience for a range of documents and correspondence.
- ; Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- ; Knowledge of practices, procedures, and processes relevant to the Magistrates' Court of Victoria (highly desirable).
