They will also:
- Build and lead partnerships across Government and industry to develop and enhance ASIO's technical capabilities.
- Coordinate staffing, capability and training requirements and maintain oversight of directorate operational, performance, budgetary and other reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and work health and safety requirements, and actively implement, monitor, and recommend amendments to supporting policies and procedures as necessary.
- Provide mentoring and support for the staff within their team.
A merit pool may be created to fill future vacancies which have the same or similar requirements to this position. This merit pool will be valid for up to 18 months.
**What you will bring**

- Strong communication skills and an ability to develop and maintain strong productive working relationships at all levels.
- Well organised and motivated, with a demonstrated ability to think critically and problem solve when working in high tempo environments.
