Job Summary:
The Critical Facilities Specialist supports the wider team by performing repairs and leading all aspects of site maintenance at our static site. The successful applicant will be tasked with coordinating the maintenance and up keeping of all Data center infrastructure according to Equinix global standards.

Collaboration with colleagues, strong communication skills (particularly when speaking with onsite customers) and a dedication to consistently achieving personal and team Equinix goals will be highly regarded.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provides the team with technical support and advice
- Acts as SME and provides training to team members where needed
- Reporting - Reviews specialist contractual reports and activities
- Assess Consistency to Policy - Ensures all repairs performed on all data center infrastructure are completed according to the manufacturer’s guidelines and standard methodologies
- Problem Solving - root cause analysis and in the repair of failed components
- Teamwork -Liaises with regional construction or design teams on design changes
- Design - Validates design criteria for new principal power installations (e.g. single power source)

**Qualifications**:

- Certificate III or Cert IV in Engineering (ideal)
- Mechanical Trade (Refrigerant & Air Conditioning) or Western Australian Electrical A Class License
- Minimum 3 + years post trade in relevant field or mission critical environment
- Ability to attain and maintain NV1 security clearance
