Proston is situated in the beautiful South Burnett, a peanut growing and wine-producing area on the Great Dividing Range, north of the Darling Downs. The town (pop - 379) is less than 15 minutes to Boondooma Dam, a 45 minute drive to the town of Kingaroy, and a 90 minute drive to the Bunya Mountains.
