Project Officer

This role will be responsible for developing a robust strategy and action plan for ongoing sustainability and success of Goranwarrabul House. It will also involve supporting the implementation and evaluation of Korin Korin Balit Djak (KKBD) Aboriginal health, wellbeing and safety initiatives 2017-2027 by connecting with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members living within the Lower Hume catchment of Mitchell and Murrindindi Shires and with local health and primary care services.
Status: Full Time or Part Time (3-month temp contract)
Location: Seymour - Goranwarrabul House

Key duties:
- Build a rapport with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to identify and document the issues, barriers and local approaches to ensuring health and wellbeing outcomes
- Building on relationships with health providers, hospitals, and other relevant services that will assist in the health and wellbeing of the Aboriginal community
- Working with other relevant programs that will inform the strategy and action plan for achieving sustainable outcomes for Goranwarrabul House
- Working collaboratively with KKBD partnership managers and project officers to foster a coordinated approach to implementing the Korin Korin Balit Djak Action Plan and best practice and regional achievements
- Advocate for better outcomes that benefit Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s needs and aspirations
- Enhance the profile and sustainability of Goranwarrabul House
- Document addressing the key selection criteria
