**The role**:
Develop and refine your technical skills in your new role as Product Technical Manager - Concrete based in Marleston, SA. You will be joining a strong team culture with a supportive environment where personal and professional growth is valued and your contributions towards our success recognised.
Reporting to the State Technical Manager and working closely with the production team to ensure QA standards are maintained you will manage all technical aspects of concrete production and delivery.
**What you will be doing in your new role**:
- Provide professional technical support service to internal and external customers by assessing customer requirements
- Solve complex problems and develop practical solutions and address product performance concerns within agreed time constraints.
- Drive technical improvements to business products and processes as well as customer outcomes
- Monitor raw material and finished product performance
- Develop, monitor and review inspection and test plans
- Supervise the (Marleston) operations and making decisions that impact the overall performance of the business through budgeting, utilisation, variable expenditure, testing income and profit to be achieved.
- Drive the NATA framework and regulations applicable to the laboratories and ensure all compliance-based objectives are operated within statutory requirements.
- Ensure employees comply fully with OH&S requirements and all legislative requirements.
- Support Technical Manager, TSM's and CSC agents/allocators in customer quality requirements and liaise regarding utilisation and serviceability matters.
- Build and maintain effective relationships through regular communications to ensure that we are aiming towards achieving the perfect day for our customers.
- Engage with various stakeholders to achieve business goals and priorities.
- Liaise, with the Technical Manager and Technicians, and control Testing schedule’s, maintenance issues, repairs, procedures, servicing and calibration of equipment.
**This role is a great fit for you, if**:
- You have a degree or diploma in Civil / Materials Engineering / Concrete Technology, or the equivalent industry experience
- Minimum 5-10 years technical experience, within concrete or building industry
- Knowledge of construction techniques around the use of concrete would be an advantage
- Experience within Concrete Operations, including plant processes, batching sequences, delivery processes
- Statistical analysis experience
- NATA Laboratory accreditation requirements
- You have a successful track record in a technical field with high attention to detail and outstanding communication and engagement skills.
- You have a positive and influential presence in building strong and effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- You are Self-motivated and possess strong leadership and supervisory skills
- You have a high level of resilience and adaptability to changing situations.
- Have a collaborative approach across business functions and hold a total commitment to risk management and Zero Harm
