This role will be working from home from either Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. You can go into one of the offices in one of these cities if you’d Iike, but it is not mandatory.
In your role as Business Development Associate (BDA) your primary responsibility will be increasing referrals (by phone) from service providers who have interacted with us, but are not currently engaging with the business.
The BDA will work closely with the Business Development Leads (BDL's) who are ultimately accountable for all referrals within their state to ensure a consistent approach to engaging with referral networks across the agreed segments. Whilst the role will assist BDLs in all states, the primary work will be with the states with the largest opportunity - NSW, Victoria & Queensland. The BDA will focus on developing strong partnerships to drive customer growth within the prescribed segments of our existing client base.
**The Role**
You will pro-actively engage with existing service providers to understand their service capability and maintain positive relationships to increase their current referrals. Present the Plan Partners value proposition to service providers to encourage them to recommend Plan Management to their customers. Advise service providers the terms of Plan Partners plan management arrangement, respective obligations of the service provider and process for invoicing for provided supports. Help Service Providers understand the tools available from Plan Partners that can assist them in the role. Pro-actively manage escalations from providers to ensure quality service is being delivered
**Key responsibilities**
- Drive and deliver service provider retention to achieve business targets
- Develop strong relationships to drive service provider growth
- Drive and implement a national acquisition strategy
- Build partnerships and strategic alliances that will extend our organisation's brand in the community resulting in digital activation
- Research and respond to the needs of our organisation by keeping up to date with industry developments and changes
- Provide input in the development and documentation of efficient business processes for Plan Management, Plan Management Service Intermediary and Support Co-ordination services
- Participate in training and development as required
You will bring:
- Experience working in a B2B relationship environment with a demonstrable track record of securing major accounts and exceeding sales targets
- Superior people skills - caring, consultative, collaborative and collegial - with the ability to develop strong internal and external relationships that create confidence
- Ability to manage strategic and complex sales opportunities while working with internal and external stakeholders
- A strategic, creative, practical thinker and planner
