**Catering Attendant (Weekday Mornings)**

Melbourne Grammar School is seeking an experienced and reliable Catering Attendant to work in our purpose-built kitchen. We are seeking someone to deliver a high-quality food service for Boarding House students and staff members.

We have ongoing opportunities available and are also seeking an enthusiastic individual to join us for the remainder of 2024.

**Context of the role**

The School provides boarding facilities for over 100 boys from Years 7-12. A full catering service is provided for boarders, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, together with morning and afternoon tea. The catering team also provides lunch for members of staff during term times and catering service for a variety of school-based functions throughout the year.

General working hours are Monday to Friday, 6.30am to 2.30pm or 7.00am to 3.00pm, during School terms. Function hours are determined by the Catering Manager. Occasional shifts outside of these hours may also be available.

**You will**:

- Assist with setting up of meals and the service area daily.
- Assist with ensuring all food items produced and delivered from the kitchen are fresh and of high quality.
- Assist with fulfilling catering requirements for all functions that are required by the School; dinners, cocktail parties, food service for meetings and drinks functions, where required.
- Ensure appropriate standards of food handling, personal hygiene and kitchen hygiene.
- Undertake daily cleaning and maintenance of kitchen and equipment.

- Appropriate experience and/or qualifications
- Current Food Handler’s Certificate
