We are seeking a self-motivated, reliable Mechanical Fitter to perform planned and reactive maintenance works including tasks such as routine inspections, function tests, preventative maintenance, general repairs, upgrades and refurbishments in the Canberra region.

**Your Daily Activities**:
Deliver preventative and responsive maintenance to electrical systems and equipment as prescribed by the contract including but not limited to
- Deliver trade based works as prescribed by the contract;
- Work with maintenance personnel from other trade groups to maintain equipment to agreed schedules, procedures and standards;
- Manage all operational matters within your functional area to ensure a high level of service is provided to the client, ensuring objectives and quality standards are met. Monitor performance as appropriate;
- Represent the business appropriately in all dealings with external and internal contacts
- Provide ideas and support innovation;
- Contribute to condition assessments throughout the course of duties;
- Actively manage and meet response times, deadlines and safety obligations;
**About you**
- Suitability for Defence security clearance (Australian Citizenship Mandatory);
- Qualified Tradesperson - Cert III in Engineering (Mechanical Fitter);
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience post trade, preferably in a similar environment
- Valid driver's licence with no restrictions;
- Current first aid certificate (preferred);
- Experience in responding to and satisfying customer requests;
- Experience using hand or power equipment related to specific trades;
