The role Reporting to the Manager, Analytics, the Principal Project Officer, will oversee leading the review and development of clinically relevant and robust patient safety and quality indicators in association with state-wide clinicians, statisticians, consumers, coding, and departmental staff. You will also collaborate with a range of state wide stakeholders to lead the support of the Inform My Care web system. Furthermore, you will comply with contemporary human resource practices and policies including workplace health and safety, ethical behaviour, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination, and commitment to their implementation consistent with the mission, vision, values, and strategic intent of Queensland Health.
The successful personTo be successful in this role you will have highly effective interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate clinical working groups to develop clinical indicators, consult and communicate with staff at all levels and proven ability in negotiation and influencing. You will also have demonstrated ability to provide authoritative written advice to senior management on a range of complex issues and ability to prepare complex submissions, briefings, and reports.In addition to this, you will have demonstrated a high-level ability to conceptualise, develop, communicate, and evaluate new, innovative, and creative approaches to address complex organisational issues in a clinical environment with respect to data information systems and measurement programs and initiatives.
