Wenona is seeking a dynamic and experienced educator to lead our PDHPE faculty. This is a unique opportunity to champion excellence in teaching and learning and shape a vibrant, inclusive culture across Years 7-12.

As Head of PDHPE, you will provide strategic and instructional leadership, guide curriculum delivery, and inspire a high-performing team to deliver contemporary, differentiated learning experiences. You will bring deep expertise in NESA and HSC requirements, model exemplary practice, and foster a collaborative and professional environment with a strong emphasis on student wellbeing and continuous improvement.

**Key Responsibilities for the role include**:

- Oversight of all teaching and learning in PDHPE, maintaining excellence in curriculum delivery.
- Providing expert guidance on assessment and marking across all courses and supporting the faculty in refining their practices.
- Modelling best practice in the classroom and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Supporting classroom teachers in professional development and collaborative learning approaches.
- Ensuring differentiated learning strategies meet the diverse needs of all students.
- Utilising ICT to enhance student engagement and learning in and beyond the classroom.
- Leading and managing a team of educators with professionalism, empathy, and expertise.
- Encouraging professional growth through mentorship, feedback, and collaboration.
- Engaging with colleagues in professional learning and goal setting to refine teaching practices.
- Championing a commitment to student wellbeing, and social-emotional learning.
- Contributing to the broader life of the school through support of Co-Curricular activities, school events, and professional learning.

This is a permanent teacher position with a five-year leadership contract commencing on a negotiated start date, with the latest start by Term 4, 13 October 2025.

**About You**:
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate the following:

- Hold a relevant teaching qualification (minimum four-year degree) and current NESA accreditation
- Strong knowledge of NESA curriculum, HSC assessment practices and marking processes, including developments with Australian Curriculum implementation in NSW.
- Experience with HSC marking is highly desirable
- Experience teaching in a K-12 setting is an advantage
- Hold a Statements of Service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders
- Proactive, data-informed approach to decision-making and problem-solving
- Creative and flexible in designing engaging, inclusive learning experiences
- Knowledge of or experience with the PYP is desirable
- Committed to continuous professional learning and embracing educational innovation
- Collaborative team player who contributes to a positive and collegial faculty culture
- Approachable, with a sense of humour and a passion for fostering a supportive school environment
