**About the role**
**- **As a dynamic and innovative member of our school community, you will:

**About you** - To be successful in this role you will bring relevant qualifications and contemporary teaching experience in Health & Physical Education for secondary / specialist teaching areas as well as:

- Strong literacy, numeracy and digital literacy practices plus a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum
- Commitment to child safety
- Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven organisational skills
- Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to achieve the best outcomes
- Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice and engagement.

At BCE our teachers are required to:

- Hold a current Queensland College of Teachers registration; and
- Be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

**About our school**: Mt Maria College Petrie is a co-educational Secondary College administered by the Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane through the Brisbane Catholic Education Office and is a member of Marist Schools of Australia. **_Do I have to be Catholic?_**
All BCE teachers must have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education. If this role does not require you to teach Religious Education, you do not need to be Catholic.

Our teachers of Religious Education are required to be Catholic and attain Accreditation to teach Religion in a Catholic school. Not accredited to teach in a Catholic school yet? That’s okay, BCE will support you to achieve this through your professional development after you start with us.
