**HammondCare Wahroonga is currently looking for several Perm, Part-Time Specialised Carers to join our team. We have AM and PM rosters available.**

Our cottages provides current, evidence-based and personalised dementia-focused care to our elderly residents. We have modelled our cottages to feel like ‘home’ for the residents in our care. While no day is the same, you will need to provide:

- Personal care - showering, grooming, toileting, dressing, pad changes
- Domestic assistance - meals, basic cleaning and laundry
- Engagement with the residents, ensuring they are involved in the activities they WANT to do.
- Recognise, report and respond appropriately to changes in the behaviours & conditions of residents within your skills and competencies.

All new staff will complete a mandatory onsite orientation with a Workplace Trainer, have buddy shifts and be supported by experienced Registered Nurses, Allied Health team and Managers on site.

**To be successful in this role, you will**:

- Have a minimum of 1 year experience in Aged Care/Dementia Care
- Have knowledge of complex dementia care including challenging behaviours
- Be flexible and able to commit to a range of shifts including nights & weekends.
- Have knowledge & experience of people living with Dementia & their needs.
- Applicants with Cert lll or Cert lV in Aged Care would be viewed favourably.
