**THE OPPORTUNITY**

We are seeking an International Tax Adviser to join our team based in Sydney.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, International Tax, you will assist with Australian tax compliance for the Australian firm and group entities including reviewing the monthly BAS and preparation of:

- Taxable income calculations and income tax returns
- Country-by-Country local file documents
- FBT returns and quarterly FBT payments
- Queensland partnership acquisition stamp duty submissions to the QRO
- Estimated allocation of profits in relation to partners’ Everett assignments

You will also be responsible for:

- Assisting key internal stakeholders with queries in relation to a range of taxes including GST, FBT, employment taxes, global mobility taxes, and ABN and client withholding taxes
- Helping to develop and maintain policies to ensure compliance with relevant tax legislation
- Working on ad hoc projects as required, eg assistance with the ATO Top 500 review, advising on the tax aspects and costings of international secondments (inbound and outbound)
- Responsibility for managing and delegating work to the Partner Finance Adviser (Tax Assistant), as required, and as agreed with the Senior Manager, International Tax

**SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- An undergraduate degree in accounting, ideally with further qualifications, ie CA; CPA; member of TIA; Masters degree in Tax
- Proficient Excel skills
- Experience across a range of taxes would be an advantage
- Professional partnership experience would be advantageous
- Ability to work independently
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Excellent service orientation skills
- Commercial acumen
