**About the Company**:
Urban Brew (a Podpac brand) is one of Australia's most exciting eCommerce scale-ups, providing eco-friendly coffee pods to happy customers nationally. The team behind Podpac were the first group in Australia to introduce Nespresso OriginalLine compatible pods.

Based in Beverley, the organisation are now at 50 team members and continuing to grow rapidly and now is the perfect time to introduce a new Chief Operating position to help take the organisation to the next level.

**How you will spend your time**:
If you have read the book Rocket Fuel by Gino Wickman you will understand the perfect match that we are looking for in this position. We are looking for the “Integrator” to support the “Visionary” who is a brilliant executor, loves numbers, dashboards and metrics but also has a natural talent for inspiring people and taking them along the ride.

The position is a restructuring of roles of the current CEO/Co-Founder and the transition to retirement of another Co-Founder/current COO, Technical and R&D Manager. This position will assist in advancing the continuous improvement of the organisation and will play a key role in implementing, monitoring, and executing the organisational strategy.

With 2 direct reports (the Operations Manager and Business Systems Manager), this position supports a growing a team of 40+ team. The CEO/Co-Founder leads the Sales and E-Commerce side totalling a current team of just over 50.

Some of the important success measures for this position will be to:

- further improve GP, overheads as % of Revenue and staff net promotor score.
- ensure a brilliant connection with the CEO/Co-Founder.
- demonstrate an ability to hit targets by putting in place small hanging fruit as well as defining clear focus areas.
- keep the organisation on track with larger projects and brilliant task management tracking.
- develop meaningful metrics and dashboards to make relevant and powerful decisions off.
- be a brilliant communicator upwards and downwards communicating any roadblocks and actions weekly and
- be a positive brand ambassador at all times living and leading the values and improving staff satisfaction and engagement levels.

**The fine print**

**The ideal background we are looking for:

- **
- A strong leader who is passionate about the company values and what the organisation does (see below plus link to video to see if you connect with them).
- At least 3 years prior General, Senior Management or C-suite level with proven prior relevant experience in a similar role.
- Background strength in finance and reporting. CA or CPA viewed favourably but not essential.
- Solid understanding of HR legislation and practice.
- Prior experience in scale up, fast paced, high growth environment, ideally with an organization which has grown rapidly to $40+m revenue and or $5+m EBITDA.
- Practical planning and execution skills with a successful track record of implementing value adding sustainable improvements.
- Commercial acumen, attuned to important profitability drivers.
- Results and achievement orientated.
- Mentoring skills with the ability to share knowledge and to grow team members.
- High computer fluency (particularly in forecasting and business improvement systems and tools).
- High level of energy, enthusiasm and undeniable strong work ethic with a good sense of humour.
- Prior experience in an e-commerce and/or warehouse environment viewed favourably and
- The ability to provide referees from direct reports to support the above.
