DSV Air & Sea is seeking to hire a skilled and passionate Customer Service Specialist, Strategic Accounts in Melbourne.
The position is responsible for handling end-to-end import and export customer service and operations for key clients within the Oil & Gas and Mining verticals - from liaising with customers & suppliers in an effective and timely manner whilst directing, compiling, and completing the necessary documentation, to arranging transport and final invoicing all while meeting the clients’ specific requirements. This position is required to ensure that all tasks are carried out in accordance with company and regulatory requirements to ensure operational efficiency, diligence, and compliance.
**Your typical day at DSV**:
- Work together with Strategic Accounts team to ensure quality and accuracy of work delivered.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with our clients, suppliers and service providers both locally and overseas.
- Ability to plan and prioritize tasks according to specific client requirements and/or deadlines.
- Implement process improvements and efficiencies in the day to day operations.
- Support the Team Lead with day-to-day activities, and other reasonable tasks and projects as required
- Plan and prioritize shipments from the relevant CargowiseOne workbenches to achieve milestone requirements, designated KPIs and deadlines.
- Ability to problem solve operational issues under pressure with a range of stakeholders including but not to limited: airlines, shipping lines, transport providers, co-loaders, and clients, coming to solutions in a timely manner.
- End-to-end freight forwarding functions/tasks - meeting customer expectations, adhering to DSV and client agreed KPI deadlines.
- Maximize profitability by accurately processing jobs in a timely and cost-effective manner.
**About you**:
- Proven experience in Freight Forwarding (Air & Sea), preferably with experience in Oil & Gas and Mining verticals.
- Strong communication, customer service, and operational skills, with a keen eye for numerical accuracy (monetary values and weights).
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute tasks efficiently within tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in CargoWiseOne is highly desirable.
