Caloundra Christian College is a Pre-Kindy to Year 12 independent Christian school on the Sunshine Coast. We are currently seeking a friendly, energetic, and professional person to provide classroom and learning support assistance and aid teachers in the care and delivery of the learning program for our students.

We have a part-time position available, with a minimum of 3 days (18 hours) per week, with a potential to offer up to 5 days (30 hours) per week. This position is term-time only with the occasional additional day for staff professional development.

**Description**

We are looking for a reliable individual, with prior Teacher Aide experience to:

- Support the teacher/s in facilitating lessons and activities, including preparation;
- Work with students individually or in small groups on activities planned under the supervision of a teacher;
- Assist students to comply with teacher instruction;
- Prepare equipment and materials specific to the student and classroom needs in accordance with teacher’s direction;
- Observe students and draw attention of the teacher to the students when necessary;
- Provide assistance during class activities, as required, to ensure maximum participation in programs; and
- Develop an effective, positive relationship with all students in the class.

Additional responsibilities for Learning Support:

- Implement modifications to student work as set/directed by a teacher; and
- Implement support programs (literacy and numeracy) under the direction of the teacher.

- Professional, positive, and friendly manner;
- Ability and desire to learn and develop professionally, personally, and spiritually;
- A MiniLit certificate would be an advantage;
- Integrity and trust; and
- Teamwork and reliability.

**Applicants Must**
- Be able to demonstrate a Christian commitment consistent with the College’s Ethos;
- Have or be willing to obtain a ‘Working with Children Blue Card’ prior to commencement; and
- Have current first aid certificate with CPR or willing to obtain.
