**The Role**

The purpose of this role is to receive stock from external providers and cross reference invoice to purchase orders, ensure all stock control procedures are being adhered to with a view to maintaining high levels of stock integrity at the branch. This will involve the analysis of reports and investigating inventory related discrepancies.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Receive all stock from external providers
- Receive all Intersite / Distribution orders from other branches.
- Ensure all delivery vehicles are in a food safe condition consistent with HACCP requirements.
- Use a temperature probe to check all frozen and chilled stock being received and loaded (consistent with HACCP requirements).
- Check all delivered orders against Supplier invoice noting damaged stock and short supply stock.
- Cross reference all invoices against the purchase order
- Record all stock received in the Inwards Goods book.
- Advise Replenisher and Stock Controller of any discrepancies
- Write and issue Tax Adjustment Note as necessary
- Make required changes to purchase order based on availability of product.
- Communicate with relevant aisle replenishers regarding incoming/outgoing stock issues or requirements.

**Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications**
- A good knowledge of warehouse and distribution functions.
- Current forklift license
- Good product knowledge
- Knowledge/Experience in a cold store environment
- A solid knowledge of HACCP and OH&S regulations.
- Good understanding of food service industry
- Good customer service skills
- An eye for detail
- Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills;
- Good organisational skills;
- Full understanding of HACCP and OH&S regulations.
