**About the role**

We are looking for a Communications Advisor to join the Dairy Australia team as part of Dairy NSW on a **2-year contract**. Dairy NSW’s communications play an important role in helping us to build a sustainable and profitable dairy industry by engaging farmers, service providers, project partners and other supporting organisations by highlighting and promoting our programs and resources with audience focused communications and campaigns.

Here's how you will make an impact:

- Lead the development and delivery of Dairy NSW’s communications campaigns and plans
- Support the delivery of our Project goals eg the flood and storm project, from a communications perspective. This may include creating project comms plans, raising awareness, and delivering content.
- Develop, write, and produce content to support Dairy Australia’s themes and programs (both Nationally and Regionally) such as case studies, newsletter articles, EDMs, flyers, scripts, podcasts and video content.
- Actively build and engage in collaborative relationships across the Dairy NSW team and external stakeholders so we can deliver relevant and useful communications
- Develop your knowledge and understanding of existing and emerging issues and trends that are impacting our industry and tailor communications aligned to our values and farmer focus

Ideally you will have a diploma or degree in qualifications in communications, journalism, marketing, agriculture, or related discipline. You will have strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills and proven experience in developing and delivering high-impact communications assets, plans and campaigns.

Just as important is your initiative and enthusiasm for:

- Generating ideas, explore possibilities, and develop effective and targeted campaigns
- Thriving on interacting with multiple stakeholders, establish rapport easily and impress people with your ability to tailor your communication to their needs
- Convincing people, challenge ideas and appropriately articulate information to your audience with strong attention to detail
- Managing tasks, uphold standards and produce desired outputs
