**About the role**:

- Western Health is seeking a dedicated and motivated Addiction Medicine Research Coordinator to join our dynamic and growing Addiction Medicine team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in a field that transforms lives, within a supportive, multi-disciplinary clinical environment.
- As part of the Specialist Addiction Services of Western Health—which includes Custodial Programs, Specialist Outpatient Programs, Dual Diagnosis Services, Residential Services, Youth & Family Services, and Hospital Inpatient Addiction Medicine Services—the Research Coordinator will play a pivotal role in coordinating, managing, and supporting a broad portfolio of clinical and health services research projects.
- You will work closely with Addiction Medicine and Psychiatry consultants, registrars, nurse practitioners, and external research partners to facilitate high-quality research that informs evidence-based practice and contributes to national and international understanding of addiction care.

**About You**Tertiary qualifications in health sciences, public health, psychology, or a related discipline (postgraduate qualifications in research or epidemiology highly regarded).-
Experience coordinating clinical research, including ethics submissions, project governance, recruitment, data collection and management, and reporting.-
Familiarity with addiction medicine, mental health, or related healthcare settings is preferred.-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage clinicians, patients, families, and research teams effectively.-
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously.-
Commitment to research integrity, patient safety, and ethical standards in clinical research.-
Interest in contributing to service development, research publications, and presentations at professional forums.- You will play a key role in mentoring and supporting junior staff involved in research, and in fostering a culture of inquiry and continuous improvement within our service. You will also work alongside consultants involved in research leadership, supporting innovation and data-driven improvements in addiction care.
