**About the Role**:
As our Divisional Manager of Data & Analytics you will be responsible for leading the division and mentoring a growing team of Data Analysts.

You’ll help Australian and International sporting organisations create value from data and improve the way they work. Lead the growth of the Data & Analytics division, including data, analytics, visualisation/business intelligence and data-driven decision making across the Gemba client base

You will be equally responsible across Customer Success, Product Management and Business Development pillars of the role:
**Customer Success (Client Service and Delivery)**
- Lead small teams to successfully co design, build and deliver data solutions for clients in the sport and entertainment industry
- Deliver audits, strategy and roadmaps for clients - taking ownership of client deliverables and data strategy implementation/change management within client organisations
- Maintain strong relationships with client decision-makers and advocates.

**Product Management**
- Act as Product Manager and lead the ongoing development of the Data & Analytics offer with new products that meet market needs and help grow the division.
- Leadership and management of required technology (Cloud, BI tools etc) to support the Data & Analytics offer.
- Develop and execute the technology solutions to host, manage and analyse improved data and digital performance of Gemba clients.

**Business Development**
- Lead the development and execution of a sales and marketing for the Data & Analytics Division.
- Enhance the Gemba brand, reputation and profile in the Data Services space
- Manage and develop a team of in-house data analysts and data engineers

**About you**:
We are seeking an all-rounder with a rare combination of entrepreneurial commercial acumen, team leadership, deep data/analytics/technology domain knowledge, and a passion for the sports/entertainment industry.
- Data driven mindset with the ability to work across multiple clients and multiple technology stacks to support their needs
- Strategic mindset, able to understand and help execute the Gemba and Tenka growth strategy
- Product development mindset, with demonstrated history of implementing technology and/or data projects in an agile manner
- Commercial mindset; not afraid of setting, chasing and hitting revenue targets
- Independent and proactive planner, prepared to take responsibility, confident in managing upwards and prepared to challenge
- Passionate about the role that data and digital transformation can play in the sports and entertainment world
- Ability to build relationships internally and with external stakeholders across the industry, as well as be the face of our Data & Analytics offer in the market
- Experience managing a small team including leading projects and ad-hoc working groups
- Strong communication skills including written and verbal
- High attention to detail and capacity to give and receive constructive feedback

**Skills, Qualifications and Experience**:

- At least 10 years’ experience in data analytics including management roles
- Proven analytical and strategic, problem solving and critical thinking skills, able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional knowledge of the data analytics process, from data understanding, cleansing, transformation, interpretation and presentation
- Strong understanding and experience with data analytics tools, such as R, Python, Power BI and SQL
- Experience with cloud technologies such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure or AWS
- The ability to produce clear graphical representations and data visualisations
- Ability to analyse existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations
- Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms
- Ability to quickly adapt to and learn new concepts and systems
- Innovative and creative thinker able to approach complicated situations in a simple manner
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships internally and externally
