Bakery Supervisor

Here at our Ferntree Gully Head Office depot we are looking to add to our fun and welcoming Pastry production team. Permanent, full-time role offering great security working **5 days per week** from **Monday to Friday** with each shift running for 8 hours **between the hours of 6am - 2pm** for great **work life balance**. Lead by example and mentor our team of up to 20, utilising your previous experience leading a pastry/bakery production team, ideally in a high volume setting, with a strong understanding of correct food handling procedures and a 'Safety First' approach always. **The role requirements** To be successful in the role, you can offer the following: - **Safety first** - we are all responsible - **Team leader/Supervisor experience in a food manufacturing setting, ideally in Pastry/bakery kitchens**: - **RELIABLE** with strong and positive communication skills - **Team player** and builder with a supportive, **lead by example** mentoring approach - **Positive** engagement style with a **can-do** approach The role will require the following: - Competently (and without assistance) **lift 15 - 25kg** frequently - Work in a **cool room** environment (below 5 degrees) - Physically capable of **bending, lifting, twisting, stretching and reaching** forward frequently - Perform **repetitive work**while adhering to **quality and safety standards**: - Using equipment and tools, as well as **operating machinery** for preparation and processing **(Pastry sheeting experience highly regarded)**: - **Stand**in one place for long periods of time - Maintaining and **cleaning**equipment and facilities Tasty is a highly professional organisation with a huge heart.
