**Children's Activities Holiday Assistant**

- $33 per hour (including 25% casual loading) + super

Council manages a Bayside kids activities event that is run through the school holiday periods for children aged 5-12 years. A program is prepared for every break and full of activities that are varied to meet all interests. Activities include a variety of stadium sports, gymnastics and games.

The Children’s Programs Holiday Assistant will assist in the preparation and delivery of activities during the school holidays and in children’s programs across the centre. They will be required to create a warm, safe, enjoyable experience for children attending these activities.

Council is looking at creating a pool of casual Children’s Activities Holiday Assistants to work during the school holidays with the potential to pick up additional work in children’s activities throughout the year. If selected to be in the pool of casuals, work is not guaranteed and will depend on the activities being offered and other staff availability.

Generally shifts would be between 8.30am to 5.30pm - Monday to Friday.

Skills and experience required for this role include:

- Minimum two years’ experience in the sporting industry (desirable)
- Well-developed communication and leadership skills
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Current First Aid Certificate, CPR and Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate
- Current Working With Children Check
