Concord Oval Recreation Centre (CORC) is a brand new, state of the art community focused recreation centre located in Sydney’s thriving inner west. The centre comprises a four court Stadium which caters for indoor soccer, netball, badminton and basketball, as well as a leading Health Club comprising of three group fitness studios, cardio, and weights areas.

We provide a sports program that is run through the school holiday periods for children aged 5-12 years. The program is full of activities that are varied to meet all interests. Activities include a variety of stadium sports and games.

As a Children’s Holiday Sport Coach, you will be passionate and energetic, have experience with children, work well in a team environment and will assist in the preparation and delivery of sporting activities.

Council is looking at creating a pool of casual Children’s Activities Holiday Assistants to work during the school holidays If selected to be in the pool of casuals, work is not guaranteed and will depend on the activities being offered and other staff availability.

Generally, shifts would be between 8.30am to 5.30pm - Monday to Friday.

Skills and experience required for this role include:

- Minimum 1 year experience in sports coaching or the sporting industry
- Obtaining or currently hold tertiary qualifications in education related fields, OOSH, vacation care, sport and recreation, leisure or a similar field
- Ability to assist the Children’s Program Team Leader in developing and implementation of programs
- Reliability and commitment
- Well-developed leadership, communication skills and an ability to engage with all stakeholders in a responsive, timely and inclusive manner
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current Working with Children Check
