Pool Lifeguard

North Star is a multi-award-winning holiday resort at Hastings Point, in the heart of the northern NSW Tweed Coast. Over the past 40 years, North Star has grown to become one of Australia’s top holiday destinations, with an onsite restaurant, conference and event spaces, day spa and leisure centre, kids’ club, Marine Environment Museum, water park and 8.2-meter high water slides. Accommodation ranges from camping and van sites to luxury villas.

We currently have an opportunity for a self-motivated, reliable, fully qualified lifeguard to look after Sammy’s Adventure Lagoon our Splash Park and Super slide area. This position is responsible for overseeing the general operation of the pool.

This casual position will deliver a range of services including but not limited to:

- Supervision of resort guests to Australian Lifeguard Aquatic Standards
- Assisting guests entering and exiting the Sammy’s Adventure lagoon, the Water Super Slides and the pool area
- Provide exceptional customer service through information and advice to our guests on the facilities and services
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Enforce pool safety standards, information on North Star Policy and the ability to recognise hazards and address them in a reasonable manner
- Work cooperatively and effectively as a team member by communicating and contributing information on a continual basis

The applicant must have a current pool lifeguard qualification and competencies including First Aid and Work with Children or be willing to obtain them.

This position is mostly weekdays (15-30 hours per week) with some weekend and public holidays and an excellent hourly rate is offered.
