This is one of the most important and high profile corporate rounds in the business team.

The role involves leading coverage of some of the nation’s most iconic companies in the aviation sector such as Qantas and Virgin, as well as international carriers. The round also encompasses domestic casino operators and the booming wagering sector.

Day to day you will:

- Juggle traditional business journalism - from profit announcements, to executive interviews and M&A situations - with generalist reporting on everything from consumer trends to regulatory issues and public inquiries.
- Prepare clear, accurate, balanced, well-written and well-researched reports that conform to style for publication.
- Take ownership of stories/issues and follow up stories when appropriate.
- Demonstrate excellent news judgement and knowledge of current affairs.
- Ensure the highest standard of accuracy, ethics and editorial quality.

- Strong journalistic background.
