Synergy Renewable fleet and Distributed Energy Resources (DER) are growing to provide future energy need for the SWIS grid. The performance and reliability of the growing fleet to meet its objectives is crucial to ensure safe, efficient, and expandable energy mix. The role is pivotal to support Synergy’s Asset Management system so that prudent asset management decisions are made in consistent manner. The role will report directly to Manager - Asset Strategy. **Key responsibilities of the role include**: - Spearheading technical leadership by developing, owning, and managing Asset Performance reporting through establishing strong analytics framework, system, and processes. - Collaborating with Engineering and Operational teams to set asset management and performance standards, crucial in managing corporate critical risks with clearly defined acceptable criteria. - Advocating for data-driven decision-making, promoting analytics, and maintaining asset performance reporting tools to align with operational and stakeholder needs. - Contribute to the Asset Management Plans and Risk Management practises for the fleet under management ensuring accurate information to annual budget and full life cycle planning can be established. - Evaluate the emerging technologies and solutions for their potential to enhance asset performance reporting across the fleet. **What you’ll bring**: - Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (e.g. Power System, Control system or Data Analytics qualification would be highly desirable) - 8+ years professional experience in an operational environment performing reliability asset performance function. - Strong proficiency in data analysis, BI tools, robust statistical analysis, and modelling using "big data" infrastructure. - Prior experience in renewable or DER technologies and their integration in an electricity network would be highly desirable. - Understanding of process safety principles and familiarity with asset management practises. - Preferred WA electricity market experience including in knowledge of the WEM and/or SWIS transmission and distribution network design. **What we offer**: Working for an employer of choice also means you will enjoy: - Flexible work arrangements - Professional Development Opportunities - Purchased Annual Leave - Best practice parental leave Click here for a full list of our benefits **Every Voice Matters** Our employees have a choice to work for Synergy and it’s a choice we respect and value.
