Based at the Melbourne Airport Business Park, Tullamarine the Salco Group is a 4th Generation family-owned business that commenced trading in 1922. We operate in the fashion accessories and garment industry across the wholesale and retail markets.

We are looking for a reliable, adaptable, and enthusiastic individual to join our valued team. **This is a full-time role - Day shift, 7.30am - 3pm, Monday - Friday.**

This role will suit a reliable person who thrives in a busy and bustling environment, enjoys problem solving and is solutions focused

They must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, have a competent level of computer literacy and be comfortable to work on ERP systems ideally AP21 or similar.

They must have a commitment to workplace safety, have knowledge of warehouse best practices and can comply to our zero tolerance to any influence of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
You will be working closely with our Distribution Centre Management assisting with the put away of stock and general pick pack assistance including administrative tasks as required, including but not limited to:

- Helping to destuff containers and label stock at a carton level
- Leading the put away of cartons in the pick bins
- Picking orders including the investigation of incomplete fulfillment of orders
- Packing orders
- Assisting with spot checks, cyclical stock counts and scheduled stock takes.
- Checking and verifying stock in AP21 and physically by bin location.
- Providing general administrative assistance when required including printing out barcodes.
- Helping to keep the DC aisles and walkways clean and clear including operating the ride on sweeper

**WHAT SKILLS DO YOU NEED?**

**To meet the role requirements and to ensure your success and satisfaction as a Store person you should have**:

- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role ideally within an apparel-based business - this is an absolute requirement.
- You will need to be fit for work - This is a physical role with prolonged periods of standing, walking. lifting and moving heavy packages - this is an absolute requirement.
- Strong and clear communication skills, both written and verbal - this is an absolute requirement.
- Experience working with an ERP operating system ideally AP21 - this is an absolute requirement.
- An attention to detail and with accuracy in reading and recording data - this is an absolute requirement.
- A current forklift license type LF - this is a strong advantage.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment - this is an absolute requirement.
