**MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Venue Operations**
- Managing day to day operations of the venue
- Managing the opening and closing procedures of the venue
- Leading from the front to deliver a consistently high standard of service, food and beverages to customers that ensures repeat business
- Maintaining venue presentation, safety and cleanliness standards
- Ensuring adherence to practices of Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
- Operating cash registers and reconciling report figures and banking
- Ensuring the smooth operation of events within the venue, from start to finish
- Handling customer complaints politely and professionally
- Maintaining appropriate systems and procedures for the venue
- Order of service from the guest arriving on site to departing.
- Assist and coordinate signage
**People and Culture**
- Supervising and managing floor and bar staff
- Cultivate a team environment among employees
- Recruiting, training and ongoing development of staff
- Staff retention
**Reporting and Administration**
- Organize the development of weekly, monthly and quarterly budget setting
- Overseeing stock ordering across beverage, consumables and disposables
- Liaising with stock auditor as needed
- Prepare for and lead regular team meetings
- Liaise with external vendors/suppliers and meet with company reps
- Cash up reports and incident reports completed and made aware to Owners
- Organize and conduct weekly meeting and agenda with detailed minutes and action items to be completed in a timely manner.
- Conduct monthly staff meeting and training sessions
- Implement banking procedures including cash float, change orders and EFTPOS settlements.
**Marketing**
- Managing marketing material and activities.
- Working with Events Manager and Directors to develop and market events and packages
- Lead in house event activations.
**Workplace Health and Safety**
- Implement, lead and ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety obligations to ensure the safety of patrons, employees and all other visitors to the venue.
**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
**Qualifications**
- Hold a valid Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
- Relevant Food Safety certificate
- Have full Australian working rights
**Experience**
- Previous experience in a venue management role
**Skills**
- A passion for the hospitality industry
- Love working in a fast-paced restaurant/bar environment

**OTHER REQUIREMENTS**
- Willingness to work days, nights and weekends (flexible availability to suit business needs)
**Salary**: From $75,000.00 per year
