ESS manages all aspects of large-scale accommodation facilities or “villages” for remote workers, providing the essential comforts such as a hot meal, a clean bed, freshly laundered workwear to health and wellness facilities for those working away from home._

To support advanced career development, we are actively recruiting a **General Manager of Operations** to join our Offshore & Remote division, based in Perth. Your role is to deliver commercial results by developing, implementing and continuously improving our processes. Working closely with the sales team, your focus will be to project manage a diverse team across Western Australia to provide an enhanced, standardised service.

**The Role**

Provide the strategic leadership that drives sustainable results by exceeding consumer and client expectations. You will successfully manage your portfolio of services for village, township and/or industrial mine site operations through;
- Driving operational efficiency that maximises financial results through conversion of business strategy to operational models
- Driving sector growth through active identification and execution of opportunities with existing clients and contributing to broader strategic planning.
- Work collaboratively with the Executive Director/General Managers to drive on going and sustainable improvement in our safety performance.
- In partnership with line leaders be instrumental in engaging and connecting every employee to our safety values
- Developing the capability of our people
- Building and leveraging effective stakeholder relationships to achieve business objectives
- Fostering a high performing organisation through continuous improvement and innovation

**The Person**
- Previous experience managing large, geographically diverse teams with knowledge of both hospitality and housekeeping functions
- Exceptional communication and relationship building abilities
- Maintain a positive team culture
- Ability to drive stakeholder engagement and deliver superior service levels
- Display excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong negotiation, problem solving and decision-making skills whilst thinking on your feet
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety, a strong commitment to safety to ensure targets are safely achieved
