**Our opportunity**:
The Disability Trust are seeking dedicated and capable Disability Support Workers to join our established team in the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie Region. We offer a uniquely rewarding part-time opportunity where you will provide supports to a vibrant, young, and active female participant living in the Lake Macquarie area.

While no two days are ever quite the same, your day-to-day role responsibilities will look like:

- Assisting with attendance at appointments and other community-based activities.
- Engaging in skill building activities both individually and in a group setting.
- Delivering personal care to our participant, both in her home and out and about in the community.
- Provide meaningful and active support to enable participants to achieve their goals.

This is a career opportunity that rewards you with permanent, part-time hours working alongside one participant. We also offer scope and variety by with an opportunity to work across our other services as they become available.

Your hours will vary from morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, along with weekend work.

**We will value your**:

- Experience working with complex behaviours in a 1:1 model.
- Understanding and implementation of restrictive practices.
- Ability to work in partnership with participants and their support networks.
- Dedication and proven success in delivering person-centred support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check.
- Current Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.

If successful, you will be required to provide evidence of at least two (2) doses of a COVID-19 vaccination before commencement. A current First Aid Certificate is preferred; however, we can support you to obtain and maintain a valid certification throughout the life of your career.

For this position, the part-time rate is between $32.21-$34.23 per hour (plus superannuation) to be negotiated on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
