Safety and Response Officer

**About the Role**: You will provide protection and safety response services to personnel, assets and building infrastructure. This position will assist in the coordination of safety responses to acts of aggression and protection of assets and building infrastructure across Logan and Beaudesert Health faciltities, ensuring a high standard of service delivery to staff, patients and visitors through compliance with Metro South Health policies and procedures.

- develop a situation analysis and use de-escalation, negotiation and appropriate restraint techniques as required
- build and proactively manage relationships with customers/clients and team members
- relate with a variety of consumers to prevent or reduce disruptive and/or aggressive behaviour
- display interpersonal communication skills using appropriate tonality and manner with a focus on customer service and overall safety

The Eight Mile Plains Satellite Hospital is one of seven new healthcare facilities being delivered in South-East Queensland under the Queensland's Government's Satellite Hospital Program. Managed by Logan Hospital, the facility will be designed to provide healthcare services, closer to home for the rapidly growing community.
