About the role
The RCH Foundation’s Planned Giving and Estates program aims to inspire and encourage more donors to include charitable gifts in their Wills and to leave a lasting legacy to The Royal Children’s Hospital. The position of Philanthropy Coordinator, Planned Giving is responsible for administering an effective GIW fundraising program, including timely and effective administration of Estates and endowments, excellent donor stewardship to maximise gift impact, and coordination of events and GIW materials for the Planned Giving team. The role will be crucial to the success of the Planned Giving team, and will be a first point of call for solicitors, donors and staff.
To be successful:
- Experience as a fundraising and Philanthropy professional
- High level of computer literacy and proficiency with personal computers including word processing, spreadsheet, and customer/donor management database software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a comfortable phone manner
- Ability to exercise discretion in dealing with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality at all times
- Clear understanding of and personal commitment to the mission and values of the RCH Foundation
- Excellent phone technique, displaying a mature, ethical, professional manner that exhibits sensitivity, tact and discretion along with a commitment to a high standard of performance
Responsibilities of the role:
- End-to-end coordination of Estate Administration, and escalation of complex estates
- Best-practice stewardship of Endowments
- Coordination of Gifts in Will program, including CRM management, updates/stock control of RCH bequest materials, and other administration tasks required for the success of the program
- Stewardship of individuals, using Moves Management techniques for donors who are considering, intending or those who have already included gifts in their Wills and the qualification of leads
- The position will work very closely with a small team of Planned Giving professionals
