Western Health has an exciting opportunity for suitably experienced Registered Nurses to join the Access and Patient Flow team at Sunshine Hospital as a Bed Coordinator.

Western Health is seeking an experienced Bed Coordinator to be responsive to Access demand across all WH sites, which will now include the Joan Kirner Women’s and Children’s Division.

The Bed Coordinator will be responsible for managing access ad patient flow across the following sites:

- Sunshine Hospital
- Footscray and Williamtown Hospital
- Joan Kirner Women’s and Children’s

As part of the Access team you will be responsive to access demand across all WH sites, ensuring timely, safe and informed patient allocation on a shift by shift basis while monitoring organisational performance. The Bed Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of all Western Health hospital admissions, ensuring appropriate bed utilisation within the context of "Best Care' at Western Health.

You will act as an organisational resource and the backup site incident commander for critical incidents.

As a senior nursing leader, you will act as a mentor and role model for all staff.
