This position requires a candidate with previous management experience to join the team as a Hospital Coordinator on a permanent part-time basis for the night shift at a private hospital in Melbourne.
ROLE OVERVIEW As the Hospital Coordinator, your responsibilities will include: Supervising the delivery of safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards; Supporting and liaising with the respective Nurse Unit Manager(s) of all wards and departments; Assisting with the coordination of staffing requirements and resources; Managing patient flow while coordinating and planning operational processes; Coordinating patient admissions and providing discharge planning support; Supporting the hospital's commitment to quality improvement and National Safety Standards, maintaining the safety of all staff, patients, and visitors.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Current Registration with AHPRA; Minimum 5 years working as a Registered Nurse; Ability to manage competing demands and coordinate resources appropriately; Advanced interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills; Effective analytical and problem-solving skills; Recent experience in bed management and/or patient flow; Demonstrated experience with the coordination and allocation of staff; High degree of computer literacy, including MS Office; Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; Leadership skills, including mentorship and coaching of team members.
