Title: Data Analyst

Objective of the Job:
Our client is currently undergoing a major retail transformation and unlocking the power of our data is a key objective. We have established a Data and Insights team which will lead the way on the development of a best-in-class Data and Analytics capability. The Data Analyst is a key role within the team providing analytics, deriving value insights and reporting capability across a broad range of business domains. The incumbent also supports the Analytics Delivery head to steer and drive the successful execution of the data program roadmap, and realisation of the companies vision.

Main Accountabilities:
In addition to your strong technical capability, you will demonstrate acute attention to detail, a strong sense of accountability, and solid hands-on experience with large datasets You will work in a collaborative

environment to improve business results through statistical rigor, data analysis and reporting, and fast-paced execution, with an emphasis on the timely, clear communication of results, insights and actionable

recommendations.

Principle duties and responsibilities:
Supporting the uplift of analytics capability across the business
- Acts as POD owner for Analytics: Works with business teams to understand business problems/data use cases and develops a use case backlog. LeadPOD’s analysts, setting the pace to successfully deliver key milestones/outcomes and oversees data being built in POD is of high quality and accuracy
- Works with a broad range of stakeholders to understand requirements and translate business questions into data use cases.

**Job Description**:

- Support the acceleration of the data and analytics culture across the organisation
- Supports the Head of Data in the pursuit of overall data program objectives
- Contributes to the management of data-related risks such as privacy and compliance

Builds analytics solutions:

- Identifies required data sets for the creation of dashboards/analytic outputs
- Identify, interpret and analyse complex data using statistical techniques to answer multifaceted business problems including the identification of trends and/or patterns in complex data sets, and to create inference or insight
- Design and produce reports, visualisations and recommendations to answer complex business problems that are presented in the most appropriate format to ensure clarity for target audience
- Supports root cause analysis of data-related issues
- Pursues process improvements for data management
- Collaborates with data scientists and data engineers as required on development of predictive models
- Drives agile ways of working

Continuous Improvement:

- Analyse and define new process improvement opportunities to support continuous improvement and business outcomes; providing advice to stakeholders, on ways to improve the efficiency and reliability of data products and service
- Supports the adoption of data analytics capabilities across the business units
- Coach/develops capability and know-how for data analyst team members
- Work with Data Governance Product Manager on projects supporting DataGovernance and compliance where required
- Participates in agile ways of working

Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

- 3 -5+ years of relevant experience
- Project, program and agile management skills
- Excellent business acumen and interpersonal skills
- able to work across business lines at a senior level to influence and effect change to achieve common goals.
- Translation of business requirements into technical design rules and solutions
- The ability to describe business use cases/outcomes, data sources and management concepts, and analytical approaches/options. The ability to translate among the languages used by executive, operational, IT and analytic stakeholders.
- Proficient in reporting/data visualization tools (Ex: Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Studio, etc.)
- Business process workflow design.
- Experience with SQL, R or Python and Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Understand best practices in data management
- Experience in the automotive industry is desirable

Specific Knowledge:

- Power BI and DAX- SQL, knowledge of data bricks, R and/or Python beneficial

Education/Training:

- Bachelor or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Mathematics.
