**The Company**
Fisheries Research and Development Corporation (FRDC) has been reviewing how we deliver impact for Australia’s fishing and aquaculture community, and as a result, have commenced a new and exciting phase squarely aimed at building collaborative approaches towards investment for impact.

FRDC is a statutory corporation that plans, invests in, and manages research, development, and extension activities to increase benefits for Australian fishing and aquaculture, and the wider community.

**The Role**
The role of
**Communications Officer - Digital** plays a vital role within the stakeholder team to develop strategy and execute communications to FRDC’s stakeholders. You will create and deliver communication material and activities that communicate how FRDC’s investment in RD&E program benefits the industry.

You will be responsible for:

- planning, creating, and sharing compelling digital content to engage key audiences
- designing, project managing and implementing digital campaigns that drive engagement and awareness
- updating and utilising the CRM
- working with external and internal stakeholders to ensure a consistent narrative across our digital communications platforms, collateral, events, and social media platforms.
- delivering engaging and effective digital campaigns
- managing FRDC’s social media channels, including creating, planning, and scheduling content and monitoring engagement including logistics and websites
- contributing to the strategic direction of web content
- being a team player assisting in the day-to-day operations of the communications team.

**The Person**
To be successful you will:

- have 2+ years in a similar role
- have suitable marketing and or communications qualifications
- have exceptional writing and communication skills
- be adept at using the various software to create templates and designs
- have experience driving, aligning, and managing social media content
- be comfortable within a science-based organisation to understand technical ‘talk’.

Ideally, you will have a passion for agriculture, fisheries, and or aquaculture, and come with a solid reputation of exceptional communication skills.

To be successful you will be independent by nature, an initiative-taker, and someone who loves working with teams and achieving group outcomes.

This is a 3 year fulltime contract position
