**About Bluestone**

Bluestone Mines Tasmania Joint Venture Pty Ltd, is Australia’s largest Tin producer. Bluestone is a well-established, high yield tin producer with a strong resource base supporting a mine life in excess of 10 years. The Renison mine is located on Tasmania’s beautiful West Coast between the towns of Zeehan and Rosebery, with a support office based in Burnie.

**About the mine**

It is an exciting time at Renison with a robust “Life of Mine Plan” and ongoing capital reinvestment program designed to deliver substantial health, safety, environmental, and efficiency improvements across the operation. Our mission is to be a sustainable, efficient, capable, disciplined and respected tin producer. We will continue on our improvement journey to challenge the way we work optimising our entire operation.

**About the role**

We are seeking an experienced Information Technology Superintendent who will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of our IT team, IT Strategy and providing our sites with appropriate and effective Information Technology solutions to suit the business needs.

The position has the option of being primarily based in either Burnie office or at Renison mine site with regular visits to the other. This position is being offered on an 5 days on 2 days off basis, with the option of an IFA for 5/2, 4/3.

**Core Responsibilities**
- Provide day to day leadership, direction, coaching and management to IT team members.
- Develop and maintain IT policies and procedure for effective delivery of IT function.
- Develop, manage, drive and deliver IT strategy.
- Lead cyber security, disaster recovery and backup strategy/policies development to align with business requirements.
- Manage the implementation of IT system changes and upgrades.
- Provide technical direction and guidance to ensure prompt resolution of problems relating to IT services.
- Manage capital project delivery, including vendor/supplier engagement and management.
- Manage IT workplan to ensure IT function remains effective and efficient in providing services to meet the business requirement.
- Manage the engagement of external resources (Contractors / service providers) to supplement internal capability.
- Effective and efficient support to internal stakeholders/customers ensuring little to no disruption to operation.
- Annual budget development, effective management of budget and cost.
- Identifying opportunities for cost optimization and system improvement via continuous improvement.
- Ability to be hands on when required.

**About you**

You will have a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field with strong leadership and communication skills in both technical resources and people management.

You will have experience in solution architecture using cloud-based technology and remote support as a way of operating and familiar with networking and the Microsoft technology stack.
