**The Role & The Team**
As a Technician Band 3, you will perform maintenance and/or support to airways facilities as per prescribed standards, to ensure the operational safety and integrity of the national airways system.
The safety of the air traffic system is the most important consideration when carrying out any duties associated with this position.
You will be required to:
- Maintain an awareness and understanding of the impact that work undertaken can have on Airservices systems.
- Actively identify opportunities for continuous improvement of service delivery and work practices.
- Maintain an effective working relationship with other Airservices staff to ensure that there is effective coordination of all activities in support of organisational objectives
- Coach other staff within the workgroup
- Take part in the implementation of enterprise governance systems and policies, including safety, environmental, work health and safety, risk and compliance.
- Have the ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card
- Have Australian Citizenship (requirement for Defence Baseline Security Clearance)

**The Person**
The successful applicant will have:
- Demonstrated experience in maintenance and installation of electrical systems such as: power and reticulation system components, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), generating sets, air conditioning systems, DC power systems and RADAR electrical systems;
- A demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise, organise and perform activities with limited guidance, for cost effective outcomes;
- Knowledge and understanding of the policies, procedures and legislation relevant to the position;
- A strong commitment to working in a team environment with a focus on delivering the highest level of customer service.
- The possession of relevant licensing as specified by Legislative and/or Airservices requirements.
The following qualifications are essential to be considered for this role:
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
- Current ACT / NSW electrical work licence
- Current CPR/LVR
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Construction industry White Card
**Security Clearance**
