Library Officer Traineeship

Maxima, in collaboration with the Rural City of Murray Bridge, have a full-time traineeship opportunity for a dedicated individual to work as a Library Officer.

The Rural City of Murray Bridge is home to the mighty Murray River and covers a wide stretch of land and small towns. Only one hour from the CBD, this council area is tight knit and prides themselves on being a thriving community which is inclusive, innovative, and accountable. This 2-year position will enable you to develop relevant skills and knowledge within the industry through working hands-on, and support this with study on-the-job towards a nationally recognised **Certificate IV in Library and Information Services.**

**Duties Include**:

- Provide exceptional customer service to all members of the public
- Undertake general library tasks including cataloguing, shelving and book maintenance
- Assist patrons access information technology including internet facilities, printers/scanners, and online databases
- Assist with membership registrations, overdue follow-ups and reservations
- Contribute towards various library and community events and promotions

- Strong communication skills, written and verbal

- Great organisational and time management skills
- Thrives working within team environments and independently

**Role Requirements**:

- Ability to work out of hours and on weekends where required
- Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- Child Safe Environment (or willing to obtain)
