This impactful role is dedicated to empowering First Nations students on their journey to success at Bond University—both academically and professionally. You'll deliver tailored programs that support a smooth transition into university life, while also preparing students for meaningful career pathways after graduation.

Working in close collaboration with the key university stakeholders including the Office of Future Students, you'll play a key role in First Nations student recruitment and community engagement. This includes outreach to schools, Indigenous educators, students, and broader First Nations communities to build strong and lasting relationships.

In addition, you’ll provide ongoing support to enrolled First Nations students through mentorship and the development of self-efficacy and leadership skills—ensuring every student is equipped to reach their full potential and thrive at university and beyond.

**About the person**:
Based within Bond University Nyombil Centre, this highly valued role will be part of a dynamic team that will implement strategies that specifically target key transition points across of our First Nations students as well as positively impact participation and academic success for our First Nations students.

The appointee will be an Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander person and will ideally possess the following:

- Hold a current degree in a relevant discipline or a combination of a formal qualification and significant work experience in outreach, student recruitment or community engagement.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Indigenous issues that impact recruitment, retention and student success strategies within higher education.
- Demonstrate problem solving skills and the ability to manage projects with conflicting priorities.
- Excellent computer and administrative skills.
- Experience in effectively liaising with university staff and stakeholders.
- Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) or ability to obtain.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to consult and liaise with a diverse range of university stakeholders and work units, particularly with Indigenous students who are new to University.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing demands, and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work co-operatively and with initiative in a small team.

**Salary details**:
The salary for the position commences at $96,222.23 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
