**Role Overview**:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable **Male Support Worker** to assist a male adult client located in Riverwood, 2210. The client requires help with meal preparation, daily assistance, community access, and financial management. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the life of someone in need.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Meal Preparation & Daily Assistance**:

- Prepare healthy meals, particularly tailored for a diabetic client.
- Assist the client in and out of his home as needed, ensuring safety and comfort.

**Community Access**:

- Accompany the client to community activities and appointments.
- **Own vehicle required** for transporting the client to social outings, medical appointments, and errands.

**Financial Planning/Budgeting**:

- Help the client manage and track bills and expenses.
- Provide basic guidance on budgeting and financial planning to maintain the client’s financial stability.

**Personal Care**:

- Assist the client with personal hygiene tasks, such as dressing and grooming, while maintaining dignity and respect.

**Household Management**:

- Support with light household tasks, including tidying up, laundry, and organizing living spaces to maintain a clean and safe environment.

**Medication Reminders**:

- Ensure the client takes prescribed medications on time, following their care plan.

**Emotional Support & Companionship**:

- Engage with the client in conversations and activities that promote emotional well-being.
- Act as a trusted companion, providing both practical and emotional support.

**Monitoring and Reporting**:

- Observe and report any changes in the client’s physical, mental, or emotional health to the appropriate care coordinator.

**Shift Availability**:
**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Prior experience in support work or a related field is preferred.
- Must have a valid driver's license and own vehicle.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding diabetes and meal preparation for diabetic individuals is a plus.
- Ability to provide financial guidance in budgeting and expense tracking.
- Empathy, reliability, and a passion for helping others.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification is advantageous.
