About the role
The Principal Procurement Governance and Probity Officer is responsible for leading and managing the governance function for procurement across Metro North Hospital and Health Service (MNHHS) including the establishment of a robust contract management function, provision of probity advice, maintenance of the forward procurement plan and maintaining the MNPS Framework including governing documents.
About you
This successful applicant will carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide leadership, high level advice and support on procurement strategies, contractual administration, probity and procurement procedures to Metro North Procurement Services (MNPS) and its customers.
- In consultation with line managers, lead Metro North Health on procurement governance matters and represent Metro North both internally and externally in relation to Metro North's procurement activities and functions.
- Coordinate the development and maintenance of the forward procurement plan to achieve MNPS objectives including quarterly performance reporting.
- Maintain MNPS documentation suite to ensure that it aligns with the QLD Procurement Policy and other regulatory instruments.
- In collaboration with the MNPS Contracts Manager, establish and maintain a robust contract management function for MNPS to ensure compliance with policy and to protect MNHHS reputation. This includes assisting Pillar Leads with record keeping and monitoring of MNPS Contract KPIs and ensuring all contracts meet requirements in Q-Contracts.
